Being one of the most popular super heroes of each and every one time, Batman has had a lengthy run, and in his lengthy run he as amassed a large number of enemies. As an alternative of listing each and every one of Batmans enemies to date (most of whom few of us would ever have heard of) it is probably better to refer to the most treacherous and recognized. The Joker is obviously our first villain to talk about. He is by far to be considered the arch nemesis to Batman. The Joker, name aside, is not to be taken lightly. He is a commendable opponent of The Dark Knight and is exceptionally erratic and dangerous. He was played by Jack Nicholson in the 1989 Batman, Nicholsons presentation was said to be Oscar worthy. Later in the most recent Batman picture actor Heath Ledger gave the Joker another shot and gave fans and many critics the idea that his performance in The Dark Knight was even Better than Nicholsons. Next up is The Penguin, so called because of his appearance and its similarity to that frozen bird that can not fly. With his lengthy, beak-like snout and squat corpse he is a rather repulsive individual. He is, on the other hand, a very intelligent guy. He sees himself as a person who is above every one others, on the other hand he is also an outcast. In the sixties Batman series he was portrayed by Burgess Meredith but of the actors that have played the role Danny DeVito got it down to a tee in 1992's Batman Returns. While we are on the subject of that picture there is also Catwoman to mention. Who could forget Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal of the P.V.C. clad villainess? Celina had already been well by the late Eartha Kitt twenty-five years previously. Who is the rightful queen of that part is debatable. Then there is The Riddler. John Astin and Frank Gorshin both had played as the Riddler in the Batman Series in the late 60's. In 1995 Jim Carrey became The Riddler for Batman Forever. The Riddler, as his handle suggests, is infatuated with riddles. He habitually sends complex clues to both The Dark Knight and the police before committing a crime. The Riddler is always dressed in a green outfit with a domino mask. Echo and Query are two of The Riddlers partners in crime. Finally comes Mr. Freeze, last but not least. He originally appeared as a not so dangerous character named Mister Zero. However, after appearing in the Batman series of the sixties on several different occasions he became Mister Freeze, a far more serious threat to our hero. He is a mad scientist who just so happens to have a great understanding of cryonics. To survive anywhere except for a special refrigeration unit, Mr. Freeze is forced to dress in a special suit to keep him amply cold. Freezes cryo suit not only keeps him cold but also gives him super strength and some pretty cool ice weapons. Arnold Schwarzenegger played Mr. Freeze in 1997's Batman and Robin. To recap, you can easily see why Batman has such a tough job. Remember these are just some of the villains he deals with.
